Description
The Amerex Model 332 20 lb CO₂ Fire Extinguisher is a high capacity fire protection device suitable for environments where clean fire suppression is essential. It releases carbon dioxide gas in the form of a white “snow” cloud that rapidly displaces oxygen around the fire, effectively smothering flames. Because CO₂ is non conductive and leaves no residue, it is ideal for protecting sensitive electrical and electronic equipment.
This extinguisher is specifically effective against Class B fires involving flammable liquids and Class C fires involving energized electrical equipment. The clean, odorless, and non contaminating CO₂ agent ensures that no cleanup is required after discharge, making it highly suitable for offices, laboratories, control rooms, server rooms, and industrial facilities.
With a 20 pound capacity, the extinguisher provides approximately 19 seconds of discharge time and a working range of 3-8 feet. It carries a UL and ULC rating of 10B:C, confirming reliable fire suppression performance. The unit features a durable chrome plated brass valve and can be mounted using the included bracket, with optional heavy duty and rubber strap brackets available. For mobile use in large facilities, a dolly cart (Model 859) can also be used for convenient transport.
