Description
The Model A411 20 lb ABC Fire Extinguisher is a high capacity fire protection device designed for industrial, commercial, and large facility environments. It contains specially fluidized and siliconized mono ammonium phosphate dry chemical that effectively stops fires by interrupting the chemical reaction that sustains combustion.
For Class A fires involving materials such as wood, paper, and cloth, the dry chemical melts at approximately 350°F and forms a protective coating over the burning surface. This insulation layer helps prevent reignition and further fire spread. In the case of Class B fires involving flammable liquids, the chemical smothers the flames and breaks the chain reaction of combustion. It is also safe for Class C fires involving energized electrical equipment since the agent does not conduct electricity back to the operator.
With a 20 pound capacity, this extinguisher offers extended firefighting capability with approximately 30 seconds of discharge time and an effective range of 15-21 feet. The UL and ULC rating of 10A:120B:C demonstrates its strong performance against large fires, making it suitable for warehouses, factories, commercial buildings, workshops, and industrial facilities where higher fire protection capacity is required.
